However, while having a conversation with Hooty, Eda realizes that her beef with Hexside is a personal matter, and that Luz deserves a chance to form her own conclusions on the matter. Hooty reminds Eda that she taught him, and upon seeing Hooty's eccentric behavior, Eda decides to enroll her apprentice in Hexside. Later, Eda walks into the office of Principal Bump in order to get the ban lifted. Bump is surprisingly open to the idea of having a human transfer student, but before he can officially enroll her, Eda has to answer for all the troubles she caused during her years at Hexside.

Eventually, she, Luz, and King convince the Collector what true friendship is, but not long after, Emperor Belos corrupts the Isles in an attempt to destroy it. After a grueling battle, they manage to defeat Belos and end his reign of terror.
Luz's friends
Heads Witches Eberwolf and Derius capture Raine's followers and send them to the Conformatorium. However, they know Eda and Raine are still out there and start searching for them. They tells Eda that he is preparing some big spell for the Day of Unity, but he cannot do it without every Head Witch. So, Raine suggests they take out Eberwolf and Derius using Eda's cursed magic. Together, they perform magical music, and with Eda playing, causes everything and everyone around them to shrivel and die, even themselves.

While Lilith hopes that the Emperor will heal her sister in exchange for her capture, he only heals Eda to the point where she can speak and understand speech. Instead of fully healing her, Belos takes her away to another room, stating that Eda must be dealt with before the Day of Unity. He also expresses his desire of capturing "the human girl", as he needs the magic door that leads to the human world. The Emperor sentences Eda to execution by petrification, and all the Owl Lady can do is plead to Lilith to keep the Emperor from harming Luz. While stirring a pot, Eda is forced to deal with constant bread puns from Luz and King's comedy hour, though she is spared when Luz has to leave for school. Shortly afterwards, she returns with the "crumby" news that Hexside is closed due to a pixie infestation.
Stopping Belos
While she sets up the spell, Luz asks Eda why she's called the Owl Lady, which Eda claims is thanks to her wisdom. As the barrier spell is rather exhausting, Eda goes off to nap but is persuaded to teach Luz magic when she bribes her with a sparkly pen. She explains that witches use magical bile to cast spells, which Luz can't do though she does mention another method ancient witches have. However, when she demonstrates a light spell that Luz records, Eda runs out of energy and falls unconscious, forcing King and Luz to haul her to bed. After King steals Eda's elixir, believing it would give Luz magic powers, Eda forgets to drink it and turns into the Owl Beast, knocking out Hooty, eating a Snaggleback sheltering from the rain alive and terrorising Luz and King.

The curse further resulted in Eda becoming noticeably more aged, though still rather attractive. She started living in the titular Owl House, which encompassed the house demon Hooty, and made friends with King a diminutive being who claims to be the king of demons. The contestants will be flying down the right arm to the Cubital Valley, using speed, cunning and magic to race to the checkpoint and back to the finish line.
Luz manages to get "the black shadow box" functioning and attracts more customers to Eda's stand, but a Coven Guard arrives at the scene, forcing Eda and Luz to flee to the Owl House. After introducing Luz to Hooty and King, Eda strikes a deal with the human; King's Crown of Power was taken by Warden Wrath, who locked it behind a magical force field that only humans could access. One day, after overhearing her mother's plan to heal her curse using extreme measures, she became scared and ran away from home. At some point of time after that, she fixed up an old tower which belonged to her father, then built the Owl House in front of it and started living inside. Around eight years after that, she let Luz stay with her upon her request, with the condition that she must work for her. Back with Eda and Raine, they manage to hide from them using an invisibility spell while tricking the coven leaders into following a trail created by Eda's animated boots.
Eda apologizes to her father for not catching up, as there has been a lot going on in her life. Following that, he saw Eda on a wanted poster, and was later told about her petrification ceremony by Gwendolyn. Dell wished that Eda would have at least let him and Gwendolyn help her out, and proceeds to ask her about his new grandson.
While Eda takes advantage and occasionally pokes fun at Luz, she does care about her as she feels that she has a responsibility to look after her "student". She begins to take her job as a teacher seriously and wants Luz to be proud of her. In "Something Ventured, Someone Framed", it's revealed that Eda did not want Luz to go to Hexside School because she wanted to protect her; she did not agree with how they teach magic. However, after a conversation with Hooty, she decides to enroll Luz in Hexside, and goes to make amends with Principal Bump in order to achieve that. Four years after Belos is defeated, Eda has become headmaster of the University of Wild Magic.
In their youth, Eda looked up to her older sister who displayed magnificent magical powers and worked hard to be better at it. Over time, it is heavily implied that Eda's powers became greater than Lilith's, and she developed the urge to learn more her own way; making her disruptive and rebellious against authority. This resulted in her earning a reputation while attending Hexside School of Magic and Demonics and forever leaving an imprint on Principal Bump. When the Emperor's Coven began searching for those to join them, Eda and Lilith expressed interest.
"Eda's Requiem" is the seventh episode of the second season of The Owl House, and the twenty-sixth episode overall. She wears a sleeveless two-tone maroon dress with a ripped-like hem design and gray tights. Her jewelry consists of two orange spherical earrings and an amber spherical ring. Her nightwear consists of a plum sweater with amber cuffs, a stained, long, violet nightgown, and light yellow worn out bunny slippers. But due to her rebellious nature, she is pretty much an outcast/criminal who has a great number of enemies - some of which who are business rivals or ex-boyfriends. She is the sort of teacher that would not only throw someone into the deep water but also set the entire lake on fire.
Eda denied Lilith's request to join the Emperor's Coven, saying she wanted to heal the curse herself and didn't want to owe Emperor Belos anything. It is also revealed that Eda has been putting a good portion of the house's income towards Griffin eggs for Luz, since there aren't many foods in the Boiling Isles that humans can digest. Later, Eda steals money from the boat Luz is working on, and accidentally loses it. In the months since the Day of Unity, King managed to convince the Collector, who turned Lilith into a puppet, to turn her back. Eda would pretend to still be in her owl beast form and sneak out of her cell, which was guarded by the puppets of Coven Heads, to see Raine.

Afterwards, Eda was surprised to hear that not only did Luz want to stay, but she also wanted to learn from her. Confused by a human wanting to learn magic, but intrigued with being able to teach someone something her own way that was not repressive like the Emperor's Coven, Eda took on the challenge. At first, Eda did not seem to take her job as a teacher too seriously as she mostly had Luz perform simple chores for her such as delivering spells and potions to some of her clients while also trying to deter her from wanting to attend Hexside. She eventually loosens up when she realizes how important learning magic is to Luz and witnesses her using glyphs to perform spells, which she had not seen anyone do in years.
Hooty then comes and throws up letters for Eda, and while looking through them, she finds that there is a one-day carnival in Bonesborough and decides to go in hopes to take advantage of the many suckers there. However, it is revealed that Tibbles sent the postcard with the carnival news. Though he claims that he reevaluated his life, Eda does not trust him and opens up her own stand, Eda's Human Horror House. As she tells horror stories of the human living in her house, she is stopped by the carnival's fun police, who capture her after she crashes into a machine of rotten candy. Eda sends Owlbert to the human realm to gather more human treasures and the palisman returns with a bag full of random objects.
